Data and methodology changelog

This log records shipped data refreshes, material corrections, and methodology changes. Routine code or styling changes are excluded. Entries are not backfilled to make the history look busier.

  1. Corrected the source and capability description

    Separated the VOA role in England and Wales from the Scottish Assessors, documented the three national Band D releases, removed claims for an address lookup and unpublished five-year or real-terms metrics, and aligned the guide source chassis with the nation-specific band rules.

  2. Published open downloads and embeds

    Added the /data hub, CSV and JSON twins from the same council table used by the site, plus attributed embed widgets. The underlying 2026-27 rates did not change.

  3. Added annual-change views

    Added the national changes hub, the smallest year-on-year increases ranking, and a two-year change panel on council pages using the existing 2025-26 and 2026-27 rate columns.
